Nobody should be held hostage by debt and poverty. But the truth is that they are rife in Wester Hailes, as in much of the UK. In a society where people live behind closed doors, thousands are desperately poor. Unable to feed their children, incapable of paying to heat their homes in winter, the grip of poverty is relentless. It breaks families apart and drives many to think that suicide is the only solution.
Here at Holy Trinity, we partner with CAP to offer a CAP Centre with multiple services for the community to access. We offer Debt Counselling, Help into employment and help for those looking to budget properly. More information about each of the services can be found below.
All of our CAP services are available for everyone, regardless of age, gender, faith standing or background and are completely free of charge. All of our CAP services are recommended by the Department of Work and Pensions and come with the offer of 1-1 support and community support.
Always through the Church. Always hope.
